Modern Contemporary Wedding Photographer: Paul Birkett

Here is a little bit about myself:

Since graduating from University in 1991 with a BA Hons in Art and Design specialising in photography, I have always worked in the creative media, either as a professional photographer, graphic designer or a film visual effects artist.

Having begun as a professional wedding photographer, I gradually moved in to Sport and Event photography. After spending time photographing motor sport and following the Grand Prix circuit working for Formula One I moved into television graphics.

From Formula One, I changed careers to become a visual effects artist in the feature film industry. I have worked on a number of feature films, including TROY, HARRY POTTER, KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, and CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, to name but a few.

Nevertheless, I have always had a passion for photography and have longed to return to my beginnings. Whilst I have enjoyed my previous careers, and all of them have involved the need for creative flair, I believe that I have never been given the chance to express enough of my creative style which the modern and contemporary style of wedding photography now allows.

I am now following my passion for photography and my heart as a modern and contemporary wedding photographer, using my own style.
