I was asked by a very good friend, well he was my Best Man at my wedding, so I would call him my best friend, to take some photographs of him riding his motor bike to illustrate a magazine article he was writing.

So putting my former sports photography skills to good use, we went out last Sunday afternoon to grab a few fast and furious frames of him riding his bike. Unfortunately, it had been raining earlier in the morning, so we both watched the Moto GP from Le Mans (getting Barry in the mind set of a Moto GP racer!) and saw Valentino Rossi throw the race away in similar damp conditions.

The afternoon brightened up, the sun came out, that was until we went out to take the pics – then it started to rain agian – typical! However, we decided to continue with the shoot but the riding conditions did not lend themselves to corning with your knee out and on the road.

We got to a roundabout where we had decided to take the pics, and Barry went round a few times to make sure I got the shot. The road conditions did give him a couple of “tank slappers” but he managed to stay upright.

With the weather getting worse we decided to call it a day.

Here’s the pic that Barry decided to use to illustrate his article.

The Fast and the Furious or just photoshop trickery

A word of warning or take it as some advice. Do not carry a camera about near any MoD property – otherwise you get stopped and questioned by the MoD Police! Might of helped if this particular establishment had indicated no parking, no cameras etc, won’t go there again in a hurry!
